The Whiteness of Mastodon

This is very good on how the community that created Mastodon and the platform’s “affordances” make Mastodon a “white” space (“white as rice” is the best way I’ve heard it described). It’s something white people should be aware of, even when their own experience of the fediverse seems “liberal” and “progressive”.
