Flat navigation menus

Renaming some work website pages, which is only reconfirming my belief that i) dropdown menus are, on the whole, a bad idea – lay sub-navigation bare on your actual pages, ii) topic/signpost pages aren’t the right place to start marketing and iii) breadcrumbs are so underused.
